Brick & Mortar Ventures is a San Francisco-based venture capital firm founded in 2015 by Darren Bechtel, a former engineer with over 15 years of venture investing experience and a member of the family behind Bechtel Group, one of the world's largest construction corporations. The firm is hyper-focused on a single thesis: technology for the built world. The firm invests exclusively in software and hardware solutions for the architecture, engineering, construction, and facilities management (AEC/FM) industries. It operates globally, with partners covering EMEA from Paris and APAC from India, and counts major industry players such as Autodesk, CEMEX, Hilti, United Rentals, and Alphabet's Sidewalk Labs among its Preferred Industry Partners and LPs.
