David Luan, Angel Investor

David Luan is Vice President of Agents and Head of the San Francisco AI Lab at Amazon, a role he began in 2024. He previously co-founded Adept AI Labs, serving as CEO from 2022 to 2024, where he focused on building AI systems to advance human-computer collaboration. Earlier in his career, he was Director at Google Research, leading large model efforts within Google Brain. He also served as VP of Engineering at OpenAI, where he oversaw engineering teams developing frontier AI technologies. As an angel investor, Luan has supported ventures in AI and enterprise platforms.
