Acadia Bay Sauna

Hello, My name is David Costales. Owner and operator of Acadia Bay Sauna.

I have invented the world's first mobile electric sauna. All mobile saunas currently use wood-burning heaters; my models are 100% green and have the ability to be controlled remotely. I've specialized in building residential custom saunas for the past 10 years, and I've spent the past 2 years building my first prototype. "Athena" Model 1 is live and producing revenue currently at Nature Nooks in Sullivan ME.

My target market is RV campgrounds and glamping sites. I have designed a seamless platform where people can book a time either remotely or on-site to use the sauna privately. I've designed Athena to offer a complete spa experience — anywhere that has a 50-amp power feed and a water source can host our models.

All models will include changing rooms, a water dispenser, a 4–6-person sauna, outdoor showers, and a lounging area to rest between sessions. The idea is to rent the sauna to individuals on vacation for 60 or 90 minutes. Parties will be able to enjoy multiple heat-and-cool-down sessions. I also offer extended rental agreements for hosts and can structure access accordingly.

All systems onboard — from the sauna heater, the door access, the exterior surveillance cameras, to the lithium-ion battery system — are designed to be monitored remotely via mobile-enabled Wi-Fi. This allows for peace of mind and full control for our operators and hosts. Athena is truly the world's first "smart" electric mobile sauna. All appropriate patents for the designs and technology have been filed.
