Bloodline Archery Products is a Bryan, Texas-based archery equipment company founded by a small team of passionate archers with deep roots in competitive recurve archery at the highest levels. Our flagship product, the Pecos Riser, is a precision machined aluminum recurve riser designed for serious competitive and intermediate Olympic recurve archers who demand both performance and pedigree from their equipment.
The Pecos Riser is built on the original design geometry developed collaboratively by Earl Hoyt and Hardy Ward — two of the most influential figures in the history of American recurve archery. Earl Hoyt's riser design is widely recognized as the gold standard of recurve engineering, and Hardy Ward — two-time World Archery Champion — worked alongside Hoyt to shape that original vision. The Pecos Riser carries that collaborative legacy forward, refined for today's serious competitor.
Our founding team brings over 40 years of competitive archery experience, led by Michael Hojnacki — a USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach, the second-highest coaching certification in USA Archery's five-level system, qualifying him for USA Archery national development programs and international team staff positions. Michael's competitive resume speaks for itself: a 1987 Collegiate All-American, a 3rd place finish at the USA Archery National Indoor Championships in 1995, a 3rd place finish in the Masters Division at the 2015 National Championships, and a Texas State Outdoor Championships record that stood for 10 years — demonstrating sustained excellence across nearly three decades of elite competition. He was also the first Resident Athlete in the USA Archery program in 1987–1988, a distinction that places him among the pioneers of the elite development system that now produces America's top Olympic-level recurve talent.
Beyond competition, Michael has served as President of the Texas State Archery Association for 22 years and maintained a close personal friendship with Hardy Ward for over two decades — making Bloodline Archery not just a business, but a continuation of a legacy he helped shape alongside one of the sport's greatest champions.
Our business model is direct and proven: manufacture precision recurve risers in limited production runs and sell through established, high-trust channels within the archery community. The Pecos Riser is priced at $900, positioning it firmly in the serious competitor and dedicated intermediate segment — archers who invest in quality equipment and recognize the value of a product with genuine heritage behind it.
Bloodline Archery Products exists because the recurve market deserves a riser with a real story, made by people who have lived inside this sport for decades. The Pecos Riser is that product.
