The organization is currently developing a hands-on forensic DNA training initiative for attorneys, judges, and justice professionals in collaboration with academic partners.
This initiative will utilize professional-grade forensic DNA instrumentation to provide immersive instruction in laboratory workflow, mixture interpretation, probabilistic genotyping, and scientific communication in court. Participants will gain direct exposure to the forensic DNA process—from extraction and amplification to data analysis and testimony—enhancing their ability to evaluate and present scientific evidence responsibly.
By integrating education, research collaboration, and applied laboratory training, DNA Mavens seeks to strengthen scientific literacy within the legal system and promote evidence-based decision-making in court.
