IndeeLift, a ten‑year‑old company focused on safe patient handling, has developed a standing‑patient lift in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente Medical Group (KPMG) and other healthcare organizations to address the substantial challenges of getting mobility‑challenged, injured, disease‑afflicted, and obese patients onto platforms required for exams, diagnostics, and treatments.

The Standing‑Patient Lift, the SST, is currently being manufactured and is scheduled to begin shipping in July 2025. IndeeLift has a supply chain, distribution infrastructure, and the only standing‑patient lift in the industry designed specifically to address patient access to service platforms.

Field trial requests have been received from KPMG, the US Veterans Administration, Mayo Clinic, Duke University, and Sharp Healthcare, with trials beginning in July 2025.

The SST is designed for full‑service healthcare providers, imaging centers, and clinics — a market that includes approximately 20,000 radiology units in the US. Radiology managers, nursing managers, and providers agree that the SST offers a machine‑assisted lifting alternative that reduces provider injuries ranging from short‑term absences to long‑term disabilities.

The SST’s functionality eliminates the risks associated with getting patients onto exam tables, imaging platforms, and treatment beds, improving safety for both patients and providers.
