Sherpa Aircraft is advancing a family of STOL

Sherpa Aircraft Group Inc. is an aircraft manufacturing relaunch focused on the FAA Part 23 certification and production of a rugged short takeoff and landing (STOL) utility aircraft platform designed for remote and demanding operating environments.

The Sherpa platform is a multi-variant aircraft architecture originally developed through decades of engineering and prototype flight testing. The aircraft family includes the GT-500 (5-place utility aircraft) and GT-1000 (8-place turbine aircraft), with additional configurations under development including pressurized and special-mission variants.

Sherpa aircraft are designed for operators requiring safe, reliable transportation in locations where conventional aircraft performance is limited. Typical applications include remote passenger transport, cargo operations, humanitarian logistics, special mission operations, and backcountry aviation.

The program builds upon significant historical engineering development, including previously flown proof-of-concept aircraft, structural design validation, and aerodynamic research. Independent valuation work has recognized substantial technical assets across the Sherpa platform, representing the accumulated engineering effort required to develop the aircraft architecture.

Sherpa’s production strategy emphasizes robust structural design, operational simplicity, and strategic vertical integration of key machining and fabrication processes to improve manufacturing control, protect intellectual property, and maintain supply chain reliability.

The company is preparing for manufacturing activation in Texas, where it plans to establish a scalable aircraft production capability supported by regional workforce development and aviation infrastructure.

Sherpa Aircraft Group is led by Scot Warren, a veteran aviator with more than four decades of aviation experience and over 30,000 flight hours, supported by a leadership and technical team representing more than two centuries of combined aviation, engineering, and aircraft manufacturing experience.

The Sherpa program is focused on delivering a durable and versatile aircraft platform capable of supporting a wide range of utility aviation missions worldwide.
